Dr. Silvia Peppoloni, President of the International Association for Promoting Geoethics, presented a free webinar on Geotourism & Geoparks in the Perspective of Geoethics, 25 May 2026.


Hosted by Geotourism Australia (Australian Geoscience Council) and the Indonesian Geoparks Network, with support from the Chinese Geoparks Network and TARN (Tools for Abiotic Research in Nature), University of Tasmania.


Geoethical principles—sustainability, scientific integrity and respect for geodiversity—guide responsible geotourism and geopark management, for researchers, students, park managers, tourism operators and policymakers.


Format: 30-min presentation + 30-45 min Q&A.
